Hobby Master intends to make a 1/72 scale Beaufighter. The variants will be IF, IC, VI, X
These possibly are the first two Beaufighters

that may be released about October or November

The new specs for panel lines on all 1/72 Hobby Master airplanes will be:
20mm x 20mm (all our former models are 25mm x 25mm) This will make the lines less
conspicuous but still allow for a wash that adds a 3-D effect.

Gary Ford at Tiger Hobbies has told me the next planned UK Special will be a RAF
Harvard in War
Time camouflage 1940.  This will have a yellow underside and green and earth camo on
top.  This will
be for later this year around Christmas.  No firm detail yet but I will let you know more as
soon as I have
something to report.

NEWS ABOUT COMING CHANGES
IMPROVEMENTS
FUTURE MODEL TYPES ETC.
Hobby Master has told me that 6 of their aircraft castings that they have been making in
2007 will be limited in 2008. The 6 models are: Ju-87 will only have 1 livery in 2008, SBD
will only have 2 liveries made, MIG-21 will only have 2 liveries made, F-104 will only
have 2 liveries made, TBM will only have 2 liveries made, F6F will only have one livery in
2008 the “Blue Angels”. This along with exciting new castings should make 2008 a very
good year.
More information concerning 2008 releases should be available soon.

Hobby Master has announced it will make a 1/72 scale Helldiver and Beaufighter.

Hobby Master has decided they will include 2 extra canopy pieces in their upcoming
1/48 Spitfire Mk. XVIII. These pieces are to replace the canopies on earlier models that
some people found to be too thick in spots and caused a distortion.

A Hobby Master official has made it known they are developing a couple of very

May 6, 2008

These are things Hobby Master has revealed:

(1) Some diorama sets are in the planning phase but price and delivery date not determined

(2) The 1/72 WWII and Modern US Pilots that Hobby Master is going to sell in packages of 5
will
fit in their A-4, A-10, F-104, Mirage 2000 and the WWII fit the front seat of the SBD and the
TBM. They may also fit other manufacturers models but this is not known for sure.

(3) For the next release of 1/72 figures, Hobby Master is planning WWII combo packs: 2
German (Ju-87, later Bf-110), 2 UK and 1 gunner for SBD. Due date for shipping is the end
of
May

(4) Hobby Master revealed they have the tooling for the F-100C so this will make the
production
of even more great aircraft schemes possible. They also said that the Really George
scheme
should be coming after the first few releases.

(5) There will be some delay of the F-100 since Hobby Master has decided to add extra
armament.
Depending on the version, it will include : Mk82,  Mk117, 335 gallon fuel tank, BLU-27
napalm
bombs, AIM 9E sidewinders and the baggage pod.

(6) The 1/48 F3F will come with stands. They also mentioned that there will be an F3F-2.

(7) The stand for the 1/32 SBD is being designed and produced and will be sold separately
from the model that is already on the market The delivery date should be around July,
perhaps
before but the price hasn't been determined.

(8) As usual, after listening to their customers Hobby Master are designing a common stand
that
allows you to display your jet aircraft models even with any center-line tanks in place. But it
will
take a few months for this and I'm just guessing that they will do the same thing so you can
display your WWII aircraft on the stand without having to remove any center-line tanks or
armament.
This is as stated by Hobby Master

Yes, we will (if we are going to make the Val in the future).

The MIg-15 is probably the only Soviet subject that will be done this year. In 2009, we will
definitely pick at least one to two Soviet WWII subjects. It could be the La-5FN or a MIG-3 in
1/72 or a I-16 in 1/48 (or in 1/72).
